Nov 18, Colombo: Sri Lankan government today invited the main opposition to join hands with them to find a political solution to the country's national issue.
Speaking at the parliament this morning Foreign Affairs Minister Rohitha Bogollagama said the government alone cannot find a political solution to this issue as a single party.
"As a responsible government we need the support of all the parties at this moment," the Minister pointed out.
Bogollagama said the government hopes to resolve this ethnic problem based on the 13th amendment.
However the Minister said the government will continue to carry on the humanitarian operations to liberate the North while trying to find a political solution.
