May 08, Colombo: Sri Lankan government this afternoon donated USD 25,000 to the Myanmar government as emergency relief to the victims of cyclone Nargis.

Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Palitha Kohona handed over the cheque to Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar Tin Oo Lwin at the Foreign Ministry.

The Foreign Secretary on behalf of the government and people of Sri Lanka expressed his deepest condolence to the victims who lost their lives in the deadly cyclone that hit Myanmar on Saturday (03rd).
