May 04, Colombo: Former Sri Lanka Cricket's (SLC) media manager Samantha Algama, who was sacked recently from the post, has expressed his disappointment over the way he was sacked by the interim committee chairman Arjuna Ranatunga.
“My sadness is the way it was done. He made it known to me that my services were no longer needed through a telephone call from the CEO Duleep Mendis,” he told media.
He said that as the chairman, Ranatunga had the right to terminate his services at any time as he was working in an honorary capacity.
Algama held the position as the media manger of the Sri Lanka Cricket for the past three years before he was dismissed last week by Ranatunga.
