* SLFP to appoint former chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket as Colombo district organizer

May 31, Colombo: Former Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka Thilanga Sumathipala is to be appointed as the SLFP organizer in Colombo soon, informed sources revealed.

Sumathipala was the Anuradhapura UNP Organizer during the Presidential Election in 2005.

Meanwhile, UNP provincial councillor Duminda Dissanayake, who joined the government, is also to be appointed as the SLFP organizers in the Colombo district along with Sumathipala.
