May 13, Kalutara: The transportation between the Kukuleganga Dam and the underground hydro power plant has been temporarily stopped due to a landslide occurred near the dam this morning.

According to the Ceylon Electricity Board sources, the road between Baduraliya and Kalawana has become impassable.

Sources said that although the clearing operations have already commenced the “Kelin-Kanda” mound is still prone to earth slips and therefore the transportation on the road will not be possible for the next few days. The area is known as a tourist attraction.
