* Sri Lanka Polls: UFPA wins Ampara

May 11, Colombo: The ruling party United People's Freedom Alliance (UFPA) won Ampara securing 6 seats against the 4 by the main opposition United National Party (UNP) received 37.87% votes.

In Ampara district UFPA won the Sammanturai electorate with 52.22% votes and UNP came in second with 46.34% votes.
