Mar 26, Colombo: The Israeli leader said that Sri Lanka should fight the terrorism and must not capitulate to it.

“Do not give in to terrorism because it will only bring destruction to your country. Terrorism must be fought; one must not capitulate to it,” Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka.

The visiting Prime Minister of Sri Lanka said in Jerusalem that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is maintaining strong relations with internationally accepted terrorist groups like PKK and some affiliates of the dreaded Al-Qaeda. PM has told the Israelis that Sri Lanka has received reports about some LTTE youth receiving training in Palestinian camps in Syria and Lebanon.

Wickramanayaka has held talks with the Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defence Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni.
