Mar 21, Vavuniya: Sri Lanka Defence sources said that Army elites had ambushed a tractor transporting armed Tamil Tigers at Konthankarankulama, immediately ahead of front lines in the West Omanthai last evening.

According to the sources, all five Tigers had been killed in the attack launched around 2.25.p.m.

While on their withdrawal the soldiers had destroyed two Tiger bunkers killing 3 more Tamil Tigers, said the sources. Army has suffered no casualties in this incident, the sources added.
