Mar 21, Matara: An intelligence operative of Tamil Tigers has been arrested by the Pitabaddara police in Matara this morning.

According to the police sources the suspected Tamil youth has been gathering information on the VIPs and important locations in the South for the Tigers.

The suspect had been conscripted to the terrorist outfit in 1994 and undergone 4 years of training on intelligence operations, said the police. The youth was employed as a labourer at a tea factory in Gorakawela in Patabaddara before he was arrested.
