June 02, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived at the Da Vinci Airport in Rome, Italy today to attend the High-Level Conference on World Food Security and the Challenges of Climate Change and Bioenergy to be held in Rome, from June 3-5, 2008.

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Italy, Hemantha Warnakulasuriya and the officials of the Italian Government warmly welcomed the President at the Airport. Ambassador Hemanttha Waranakulasooriya and official of the FAO, Ministers Maithripala Sirisena, C.B.Ratnayake, and President’s Secretary Lalith Weeratunga, President’s Coor.
