July 08, Colombo: Some 112 security forces personnel have been killed during last month due to the fighting between the military and the LTTE, the government said.

Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka told parliament said that 43 civilians were killed last month while 793 security forces personnel and 61 civilians were injured.

He made this statement, during the debate in the parliament to extend the Emergency law.
