* Sri Lanka Parliament extends acting Secretary General's term

July 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka parliament extended the term of the acting Secretary General Dhammika Kitulgoda by another 14 days today.

He has held the position of the Secretary General from 15 February 1999 till 31 July 2002 and is reported to be confirmed soon as the new Secretary General.

The position was vacated by the retirement of Mrs. Priyanee Wijesekera in March this year.
