July 07, Colombo: A Sri Lankan Engineer M.A. Thushara Edirisinghe claims that he has invented a car engine which runs from water.

According to reports, the basic concept of this invention is that the hydrogen gets separated from water using an electronic circuit and feeds into the cylinders mixed with oxygen and burns as fuel similar to any other ordinary engine.

Edirisinghe seeks government support to secure a patent for his invention and start commercial production while fearing for his life against threats that might start to come in his direction.

Several people in the world have made claims similar to Edirisinghe's invention.
