July 07, Colombo: Environment and Natural Resources Ministry of Sri Lanka has announced that vehicle gas emission tests are compulsory.

These tests effective from July 15th will be the deciding factor in renewing licenses for all the motor vehicles for the following year.

According to sources at Environment and Natural Resources Ministry, government is also planning to implement many other measures during this year to protect the environment.
