* Former police chief swears in as Governor of Northern Province

July 03, Colombo: Recently retired Inspector general of Police Victor Perera was sworn in as the Governor of Northern Province today before President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees.

President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga also participated in the occasion.
