* Opposition MPs file fundamental rights petition against Sri Lanka Police

July 02, Colombo: United National Party (UNP) Western Colombo organiser Rosy Senanayake and Opposition MP Chandrani Bandara have filed a fundamental rights violation petition in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Filing this petition today against the Bambalapitiya Police Station Officer In Charge Upul Senarathne, the two have charged that the recently held ‘Janabala Kahala Nadaya’ organised by their political party was disturbed by the Officer In Charge.
