July 17, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today launched a website in Sinhala on the 550 Jathaka Katha, or the 550 Past Life Stories of the Buddha to celebrate the Esala Poya Day. The website which can be accessed at www.jathakakatha.org is another project of the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA). The Jathaka stories describe pervious births of Bosath before attaining nirvana and becoming Buddha.
