July 17, Colombo: Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo today organized the longest charity walk by an individual company in Sri Lanka.

The 16 km walk managed to collect 1.8 million rupees to purchase a new theatre light system for the National Cancer Hospital in Maharagama.

Sri Lanka public say the government of Sri Lanka spends more on politically motivated projects and not enough on the national healthcare system which faces problems in meeting the operational expenses and much needed maintenance.
