July 15, Colombo: Milk powder companies in Sri Lanka are seeking Consumer Affairs Authority approval to increase prices with immediate effect.

If the new proposal is approved by the government, a 400 g packet sold at Rs. 275 will then be sold at Rs. 300. The current agreement between the milk powder companies and the Consumer Affairs Authority comes to an end by the end of this month, leaving space for a price increase.
