July 12, Colombo: Sri Lank Air Force fighter jets this morning struck an identified LTTE bunker line in the Tamil Tiger territory of Mullaitivu in northern Sri Lanka.

Air Force spokesman Janaka Nanayakkara said the air attacks targeted an LTTE bunker line 3.5 kms south of Thunnukai in Mullaitivu around 7 a.m. local time.

"A bulldozer was confirmed destroyed and few other heavy machinery damaged in the air raid,” spokesman said citing fighter pilots.

Defence sources said the Tigers were undergoing heavy construction work in the site at the time of attack.
