Jan 31, Thulhiriya: MAS Holdings Private Limited, one of the leading apparel exporter in Sri Lanka has opened up a new public training institute, MAS Institute of Management and Technology (MIMT) to boost the management and IT education in Sri Lanka. The ceremonial opening of the new institute took place today at its premises situated in the MAS Fabric Park, Thulhiriya.

The institute provides exceptional training facilities and infrastructure including a fully equipped auditorium, 17 classrooms, language labs and IT training facilities. The company has invested sum of 1 million US dollars on the new establishment.

The institute offers academic courses on Information and Technology ranging from diploma level to degree levels and Technical courses in Textile and Apparel industry in certificate and diploma levels. Also, MAS intends to open a business school for the senior business executives focusing on the development of leadership and innovation by the end of this year.

MAS officials say that the new institute will be the training ground to develop innovative minds that will empower people and enhance the apparel industry in Sri Lanka.
