Jan 15, Colombo: Iran's Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Dr. Davoud Danesh Ja'fari called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at the Temple Trees.

Danesh Ja'fari is on a formal three-day visit to Sri Lanka to discuss bilateral economic cooperation. He is to hold discussions with Sri Lanka's senior officials on the speedy implementation of the existing agreements between the two countries and further expansion of bilateral cooperation, Iranian Embassy official in Colombo said. Iran's Vice Minister of Finance Dr. Barosha Alishi, Minister Milinda Moragoda, President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and Finance Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara also were present at the occasion.
