Feb 26, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa met Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe this evening at Temple Trees in Colombo.

The two leaders were expected to discuss several issues including the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) proposals. The meeting follows a formal request made during an unveiling ceremony for a portrait of late President R. Premadasa at Parliament on February 7.

Ministers Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, Maithripala Sirisena and Prof. Viswa Warnapala, UNP Chairman Rukman Senanayake, and UNP legal advisor K.N. Choksy also attended the meeting.
