Dec 04, Puttalama: A member of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress representing the North Western provincial council was assaulted at Kalpitiya this morning by an unknown gang.

According to the police reports in the area councilor, S.A Yahiya escaped without any injuries due to the attack.

Yahiya had informed the Kalpitiya police regarding the attack and the police are conducting further investigations.
