Dec 24, Colombo: The eminent sculptor Aram V. Grigoryan of Russia who makes sculptures of eminent world leaders and paintings of well known artistes met Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at the President House.

The objective of his Sri Lankan tour is to make a sculpture of Sri Lanka’s President for the world famous sculpture gallery maintained by him. Grigoryan is a pupil of the famous Russian sculptor Dr. Carbonell who made the bronze sculpture of the late S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike in 1957, is now erected at the Galle Face. K.M.N. Bandara of SLFS and Buddhapriya Ramanayake, Director of the Russian Language Centre also participated.
