* Moe civilians fleeing rebel held areas in Northern Sri Lanka

Dec 02, Vavuniya: The number of civilians fleeing the rebel held areas are increasing as the resistance of LTTE waning day by day.

According to the defence sources fifteen more civilians have arrived in Vavuniya this morning at about 8:30 a.m. at the Omanthai Entry-Exit point Vavuniya, seeking refuge.

The civilians who have fled amid torrential rains consisted of 13 men and 2 women belonging to five families from Nedunkurni in Vavuniya district.

The officials have taken measures to settle them at a refugee camp in Vavuniya.
