Dec 16, Colombo: W.B Ganegala, Secretary of the Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development has been appointed as the new chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited, a government owned company.

According to the presidential media unit President Mahinda Rajapaksa had made this appointment this evening following the resignation of former chairman Asantha De Mel.

Former Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited Asantha De Mel had resigned from his post few weeks ago after he was dismissed from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation by the order of the Supreme Court.

W.B Ganegala will assume the duties as the new chairman of the company within next few days, sources said.
