Dec 01, Vatican City: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa had an audience with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at the Papal Lýbrary in the Vatýcan today (Dec 01). First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa accompanied the President.

President appraised the Pope on current developments in Sri Lanka, especially the recovery of Madhu Shrine from the LTTE, restoring it and making it available for public to worship.
