Dec 01, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Army on Monday said that 50 more truck loads of essential food items received from India for the use of civilians in Wanni were dispatched to the un-cleared areas across Omanthai Entry/Exit point.
“The consignment carrying flour, sugar, dhal, cooking oil and other essentials were packed in 34,000 sachets. The District Secretary for Vavuniya has organized the convoy in consultation with other authorities,” the Army Headquarters said.
This stock was in addition to 20 more trucks that left for Kilinochchi last Friday.
