Aug 07, Colombo: The two-day postal voting for the provincial council elections of the North Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces in Sri Lanka will be conducted today and tomorrow from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm.
According to authorities the Election Secretariat has established between 300 and 400 postal votes certifying offices for each district. There are 51,057 eligible voters from both provinces with 33,336 from North Central and 17,721 from Sabaragamuwa.
The National Identity Card is compulsory for voting. If a NIC is not available, voters can submit other acceptable documents including a passport or a driver's license.
