Aug 07, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived yesterday (August 6) in Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on August 8.
The President visited the Olympic Village and met the Sri Lankan team competing in the games and conveyed his best wishes to the team at the games.
Eight Sri Lankan athletes will compete in six sports in the 29th 2008 Summer Olympics which will continue until Augst 24.
