Aug 29 Jaffna: Sri Lankan defense officials have decided to lift the daily imposed curfew in the northern Jaffna peninsula for the next four days.
Media Center for National security (MCNS) said the decision was taken due to the annual festival of the famous Nallur Kovil which begins this evening in Jaffna.
MCNS further said, the curfew of the Jaffna peninsula will be lifted from this afternoon to 31st of this month. The festival will end on 31st of this month.
According to the normal schedule the curfew is being imposed in Jaffna peninsula daily from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
