Aug 28, Hambantota: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today visited his electorate to review the progress of the ongoing construction of the new harbor, administration complex and the international conference hall in Hambantota District.
According to the President’s media unit, President visited the harbor site soon after he declared open the new multi religious museum in Kataragama.
At the site President Rajapaksa had instructed the officials to build the harbor complex without causing any environmental pollution. He also urged the officials to expedite the process.
Before visiting the harbor President opened the new multi religious museum in Kataragama this morning.
The museum has been built in the premises of most famous Kataragama Devalaya at a cost of Rs 65 million.
According to the Director General of the Central Cultural Fund, Prof. Sudharshan Seneviratne this new multi religious museum will be open to the public until midnight during the festival season.
