* Iranian Deputy Minister calls on Sri Lanka President

Aug 23, Colombo: Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Mohammed Reza Nematzadeh met Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees today.

Iranian minister who arrived in the country Friday (22) is here to finalize the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract of the billion dollar Iranian-funded improvement and expansion project for the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation-owned refinery at Sapugaskanda.

The Minister is also scheduled to have business discussions on the EPC contract with Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development Minister A.H.M. Fowzie.

Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Treasury Secretary, Dr. P.B. Jayasundara, CPC Chairman, Asantha de Mel, Secretary to Petroleum Ministry W.B.Ganegala are also in the picture.
