Sri Lanka President pays homage at Temple of the Tooth

Apr 01, Kandy: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the Temple of
the Tooth in Kandy today.
He called on Ven. Thibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala, Mahanayake Thero of the
Malwatte Chapter, and Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita, Mahanayake Thero of
the Asgiriya Chapter. Dambane Wannila Aththo also attended the religious
observances.
The President toured the construction on the Chandananda Buddhist
College, affiliated with the Asgiriya Viharaya. Central Province Governor
Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara were also
present.
