Addressing the fourth of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) district rallies in Kegalle, the President
said that the valiant soldiers have now limited the Tamil Tigers to Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts.
He said that the Navy deserved the respect of the entire nation for destroying three LTTE arms ships.

Announcing that the government has no MPs that can be purchased, the President challenged the Opposition
to defeat the budget proposals if possible.
