* Sri Lanka President vows not to reverse fight against terrorism

The Navy deserved the respect of the entire nation for destroying three LTTE arms ships.

Sept 16, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today that the fight against terrorism would not be reversed on any grounds.

Addressing the fourth of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) district rallies in Kegalle, the President said that the valiant soldiers have now limited the Tamil Tigers to Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts. He said that the Navy deserved the respect of the entire nation for destroying three LTTE arms ships.

Announcing that the government has no MPs that can be purchased, the President challenged the Opposition to defeat the budget proposals if possible.

A massive crowd attended the rally that was held in Kegalle public esplanade.
