May 30, Colombo: Children from a Samurdhi recipient family sold the first flag for Anti-cigarettes Samurdhi Flag Week to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Yesterday.

At the function, the President also presented a check to the winner of the Samurdhi Housing Lottery.

He presented a scholarship from the Sipdora Scholarship Programme to a student from a Samurdhi recipient family.

Minister of Nation Building Jagath Pushpakumara is also pictured.
