May 29, Colombo: A new reconciliatory attempt by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to make peace between the President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the ousted former minister and party stalwart Mangala Samaraweera has commenced, the ruling party sources said.
Minister of Transport and the President’s close ally Dullas Alahaperuma has also mediated in the effort with the party veteran Western Province Governor Alevi Mawlana.
