May 15, Colombo: Lanka Pack – 2007, the largest packaging exhibition organized by Sri Lanka Packaging Institute and Packaging Development Centre affiliated to it will be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial Conference hall in Colombo next month.

The exhibition which includes 100 stalls exhibiting packaging material, machinery and services will be held from June 15th through 17th.

Dharmathilaka Rathnayaka, the Chairman of the ‘Lanka Pack – 2007’ organizing committee said that the aim of the exhibition is to develop the sector through enhancement of the standards and sharing the experiences with local and foreign players of the packaging industry. He further said that the packaging sector contributed 5% of the Gross Domestic Product of Sri Lanka.
