Mar 08, Colombo: The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), the rebel organization fighting for a separate state in the north and east of Sri Lanka, is holding five Sri Lankan government soldiers captive in the Wanni area.
These captives include one Army and four Navy personnel who were captured on September 9 and October 11 last year.
The relatives of these soldiers recently visited them at Kilinochchi, the major town in the rebel-held territory, with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
