June 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka Freedom Party People's Wing leaders including Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathi Suriyaarachchi met the Opposition Leader and the leader of the United National Party (UNP) Ranil Wickremasinghe at his Cambridge Terrace residence.
The closed-door discussions were held more than two hours. UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayaka also participated in the talks.
Addressing media before talks, former Minister Mangala Samaraweera said that the People’s Wing would discuss about the united future actions to seek solutions for the problems the country is facing.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the UNP addressing a separate media briefing held in Colombo today said that a number of government Ministers would join with the UNP soon. He said that two committees have been appointed by the party to unite all who would like to work for a change of the governance.
