June 26, Colombo: Leader of the Sri Lanka monk party, Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), Ven. Ellawala Medananda Nayaka Thero today handed over a set of 20 proposals under the programme of protecting the country to the President at the Temple Trees.

Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thero, Ven. Kotapola Dammakiththi Thero, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Ministers Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, Patali Champaka ranawaka, Central Environment Authority Chairman Udaya Gammanpila, Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe also participated in the event.

Ven. Ellawala Medananda Nayaka Thero also handed over two books titled 'Aritta Pabatha" and "Buddangala Thapovanaya" to the President.
