* Fifteen decomposed bodies of Tigers found in Eastern Sri Lanka

June 22, Colombo: Sri Lanka military said they recovered fifteen decomposed bodies of Tiger cadres, who perished following the attacks by the security forces this morning in Thoppigala jungle.

Army Headquarters said that security forces in the past forty-eight hours ending Friday noon are continuing their clearing work in mine-infested areas following the recent capture of three satellite Tiger (LTTE) camps in Thoppigala jungles.

Six T-56 weapons, one grenade launcher, two Rocket Propeller Guns (RPG), two Multi Purpose Machine Guns (MPMG), ninety-six Anti- Personnel Mines (APM) and many other warlike items were also found from the surroundings.

Arrangements are now in progress to get those Tiger remains transferred out to the LTTE through the ICRC for burial, the Army said.
