July 31, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Red Cross is to launch a nationwide campaign against the misuse of the Red Cross emblem, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said in their latest bulletin released today.

“It is hoped that this vital initiative will mobilize volunteers, educate the public and increase respect for authorized users of the emblem,” the statement said.

In the recent past there were several reports of misusing the Red Cross emblem in the country.
