* Sri Lanka troops uncover more MBRL parts hidden in Thoppigala jungle
Friday, July 20, 2007, 12:37 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

July 20, Colombo: During search operations today Sri Lankan troops uncovered another set of launching barrels of a LTTE Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) hidden in the recently captured Thoppigala jungle, defence officials said.

Soldiers found the second set of launching barrels hidden in the thick jungle, at a location between Omanugala and Meeyankallu.

With this discovery defense officials believe they found the complete system of the 12 barrel MBRL system that LTTE rebels had used in the East to attack security forces.

Earlier on July 18, troops found the MBRL with four launching barrels and the mounting arrangement.

More search operations are continuing in the recently liberated area.
