* ‘Donors appreciate patience of the Sri Lanka government despite LTTE provocative activities’ - Minister

Jan 31, Colombo: The government today said that the international donors appreciated the patience of the Sri Lankan government in spite of the provocative LTTE terrorist activities.

“President Mahinda Rajapaksa who categorically identified the terrorist problem in Sri Lanka and stated he will take action to eliminate it and provide a solution to the national problem for the people to live peacefully,” Defence Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said at a media briefing today at the Media Center for National Security.

Minister Rambukwella said that the President emphasized the need for Aid for development which was readily granted. “A total of US $ 4.5 billion was granted for the next three years to build the required infrastructure. All representatives in the Forum agreed with President Rajapaksa including the United States Ambassador,” the Minister said.
