Feb 14, Colombo: Ousted minister Anura Bandaranaike who met President Mahinda Rajapaksa this evening, will be sworn in as the National Heritage Minister again, informed sources revealed.
Sources said that after talks with Mr. Bandaranaike, the President has agreed to offer the same Ministry to the ousted minister. The meeting was arranged by Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Western Province Governor Alavi Moulana, they said.
It is also learnt that Mr. Bandaranaike has briefed the President about his activities with ousted ministers Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathi Suriyaarachchi in the recent past. The same sources said that Mr. Bandaranaike would be appointed as a special Presidential Advisor on international relations.
Meanwhile, Mr. Suriyaarachchi is scheduled to meet the President tomorrow to discuss the matter with the President.
