Feb 01, Los Angeles, CA: February 4, 2007 is a red-letter day for the Sri Lankan community in California as it celebrates 59 years of Sri Lanka’s independence with two equally stimulating programs, one organized by the Consulate General at Los Angeles and the other, by the Sri Lankan Patriots of California.
A colorful cultural program organized by Consulate General at Los Angeles is to be held at the Japanese American National Museum at 369, East First Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 at 9.30 a.m. on February 4, 2007. The organizers of the multi-cultural variety show have described scintillating performances that are due to take place during the morning event.
Following this, Glorious Heritage organized by the Sri Lankan Patriots of California will take place at 3 p.m. on February 4th at the Veterans' Memorial Auditorium, 4117 Overland Avenue, Culver City, CA 90230.
Sri Lanka’s Independence Day in Los Angeles complete with programs in the morning and the evening, appears to have the makings of thought-stimulating, culturally rewarding day for Sri Lankan expatriates in California.
