Aug 09, Colombo: John Holmes, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning at the Temple Trees.

Human Rights Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe, Minister Milinda Moragoda, Foreign Secretary Dr. Palitha Kohona were also present at the meeting.

The UN official will wrap up his four-day visit today. Yesterday he toured Eastern Province and met with internally displaced people.
