* President attends the fundraiser for Sri Lanka's disabled people

Aug 02, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa this evening attended the 20th anniversary inaugural fundraising event at the BMICH for the Navajeewana, Sri Lanka's largest community based rehabilitation organization in the South for the people with disabilities.

Founder of Navajeewana, Kumaruni Wickremesooriya, Ministers Milinda Moragoda and Chamal Rajapaksa, President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga also attended the event.

The event was preceded by an exhibition by prominent artists with disabilities showcasing portraits, abstract paintings, landscapes, sketches and sculpture.
